Generally, the Uganda Peoples Defence Forces contacts shortlisted candidates through the email used during application, SMS, or print media, but in the absence of these, take the steps below to validate if your name has been shortlisted.

The first step is opening the UPDF portal www.defence.go.ug
Select UPDF from the menu items
Select the category you applied for, be it Air Force, Navy, or Army
Scroll down the page and click on “Names of successful applicants”
Open the downloaded PDF from your device
Then, carefully search for your name or application number.
