All candidates who applied to join the Uganda Peoples Defence Forces as Cadets or Officers are advised to check for the shortlist at their respective District Headquarters under which they attended interviews.

Be reminded that your journey to becoming part of the military begins with a months course before being confirmed your rank at the academy.The learning environment is stimulating and challenging.

You will need dedication, commitment and a willingness to train, for one to succeed in the structured training grounds. it will include classroom-based theory lesions, and practical and physical training.

To help you acquire these skills, a fine team of instructors will welcome you to the academy, which hosts very good learning facilities with scenario-based training programs, paramilitary and self-defense training grounds, weapon ranges, lecture hall and class rooms, dormitories, IT laboratory, a library, dining room and sports grounds. Note:

Candidates who fail medical examinations shall be disqualified, those found to be personating or carrying forged academic documents shall be prosecuted. Candidates who would not have reported to the school by the said date will be assumed to have turned down the offer and their vacancies shall be forfeited to those on the waiting list.

While at the academy, you will also receive plenty of support from your lecturers, trainers and fellow trainees. All trainees will be accommodated at the school, which also provides cultural and religious considerations, and well served meals.
