Nsambya School of Nursing and Midwifery Admission Requirements

The school invites applications for the August intake Academic year 2024/2025 for admission to the Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNS) and Bachelor of Midwifery Science (BMS) programs leading to the award of Uganda Martyrs University degree.

The programmes are tenable at St. Francis Hospital Nsambya

Training School which is affiliated to Uganda Martyrs University.

Aim of the programs:

To produce a competent professional nurse /midwife who can provide promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative health services at all levels of the health care system.

Admission requirements:
Applicant must have the following;

  1. Diploma in Nursing, Midwifery, Mental health, Public health, Medical Education, and Pediatrics from a recognized institution.
  2. A minimum of 2 years working experience in a hospital or health center.
  3. Currently registered with the UNMC.
  4. Certified copies of diploma transcripts (not photocopies of certified copies) from the awarding institutions.

Note that:
a. The applicant must pass an entry interview (both written and oral).
b. A part-time program will be offered 2 days per week for 3 years.
The application fee of 100,000/= excluding bank charges should be paid to STANBIC Bank

The programmes are tenable at St. Francis Hospital Nsambya

Training School which is affiliated to Uganda Martyrs University.

Aim of the programs:

To produce a competent professional Mentor who is able to provide promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative health services in mentoring students in the clinical area at all levels of the health care system.

Admission requirements:
Applicant must have the following;

Diploma/Certificate in Nursing, Midwifery, Mental health, Public health, Medical education and Pediatrics from a recognized institution.

A minimum of 2 years working experience in a hospital or health center.

Currently registered with the UNMC.

Certified copies of diploma/ Certificate transcripts (not photocopies of certified copies) from the awarding institutions.
Note that:
a. The applicant must pass an entry interview (both written and oral).
b. A part-time program will be offered in modular form for
1 year for Diploma holders and 2 years for Certificate holders.
The application fee of 75,000/= excluding bank charges should be paid to STANBIC Bank.
