Uganda Police Force Recruitment: We would like to tell the public that the second batch of 5,000 police recruits has begun today. Thus, applications are being accepted from interested candidates beginning September 7th and ending September 19th and should be submitted to the local District/Divisional Police Headquarters.

To join the Uganda Police Force, some certain educational requirements and qualifications must be met.

Applicants must be Ugandan citizens with a valid National ID and have no criminal record. In addition, they must have completed at least a Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with a minimum of five passes, including English and Mathematics, or its equivalent.

Those with higher qualifications, such as a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or a diploma, are also encouraged to apply.

Meeting these educational requirements is essential for ensuring that applicants have the necessary knowledge and skills to serve as police officers.

Uganda Police Application Process

Uganda Police Force Recruitment Requirements

  • Possess a UCE Certificate (O’level) or its equivalent with at least 4 credits, including English, and a pass in maths. Those with qualifications higher than UCE should NOT apply.
  • Be a Ugandan citizen with a valid national identification number (NIN).
  • Have no criminal history
  • Prepare to complete the required twelve-month Police Basic Training Course.
  • Maintain physical fitness.
  • Prepared to work long hours and under challenging situations.
  • Prepare to work anywhere in the country.
  • Have strong communication abilities.
  • Must not have served as a serving officer in any of the Forces.
