The Ndejje University Vice Chancellor Prof. Eliabu Lugujjo has re-echoed the significance of internalization towards realising the university’s strategic development plan.
The Vice-Chancellor made the remarks while sending off Ndejje University student Daphine Nagayi to German for a seven-month study at the Protestant University of Applied Science.
The function took place at the University’s Luwero Main Campus.

Prof. Lugujjo praised the huge benefits the university has achieved through the German exchange programmes.

“We are happy that Ndejje University was realizing its strategic plan of Internationalization which opens more opportunities for other students and Lecturers through the exchange program,” he said. He urged the university’s alumni and students to be exemplary and effectively represent the University in any part of the world to be able to attract study scholarships and job opportunities.

The initiator of the exchange programme, John Bosco Kaddu thanked the university for embracing the programme and disclosed the continued partnership soon to be extended to the lecturers. He said the university recently received a sports equipment donation thanks to the exchange programme engagements.

Nagayi was the lone Social Science student who won the German scholarship out of the six shortlisted from Ndejje University.

She has a passion for community service having engaged in various activities which include training the community in banking, and welfare improvement.

The Protestant University of Applied Sciences extended scholarships to the Faculty of Social Sciences Ndejje University at the beginning of 2018. Present at the occasion were the University Secretary Mr. Elijah Kiyingi, Academic Registrar Mrs Mary Wanda Mutyaba, Dean Faculty of Social Science Dr. Saidah Mbooge and parents among others.
