Makerere University Readvert Admissions 2024-2025 – Apply Now:

If you are a high school senior or a student who has completed high school and has not yet enrolled at another college or university after graduation, you should apply for freshman admission.

Freshman students are those who have not previously enrolled in a regionally accredited college or university, or who have only enrolled in college courses prior to high school graduation.

Admissions 2024-2025

Admissions takes into account a number of factors. For instance, the exact courses you completed in high school and your grades in those courses. Our Course offerings may vary each semester. The Academic Registrar, Makerere University invites applications from Ugandan, East African, S. Sudan and international applicants for the undergraduate programs under the private sponsorship scheme for the 2024-2025 Academic year.

EITHER

have the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least five passes, or its equivalent and at least two principal passes at Advanced Level (UACE) obtained at the same sitting. (For day programs only candidates who sat A’ level in 2018, 2017 and 2016 are eligible to apply. For evening, afternoon, and external programs, a candidate is not restricted on the year of sitting A’level. (Detailed weighting system for programs to be offered by Makerere University for the 2024-2025 Academic Year can be viewed on the undergraduate admissions office noticeboard or Makerere University website; www.mak.ac.ug.

Or

hold at least a Second Class/Credit (or equivalent classification) Diploma or otherwise as specified in the Diploma Holders’ Requirements from a recognized chartered institution, relevant to the program applied for. Certified copies of Academic Transcripts and certificates (not photocopies of certified copies) from the awarding institutions and one passport-size photograph must be submitted to Office 315 Level three (3) Senate Building after applying online. (Details of the Diploma Holders’ admission requirements for the 2024-2025 academic year can be viewed on the notice board of the undergraduate Admissions Office or on the Makerere University website: www.mak.ac.ug).

Or

(c) Be a graduate from a recognised chartered university.
