All admissions are handled by the Registrar’s office. Students submit the duly filled application forms which can be downloaded from the website or bought from the university together with all their academic documents. For any queries on admissions please email: info@ciu.ac.ug

Pre Admission Programmes

All foreign students whose previous education was instructed in another language other than English will be expected to attend an CIU two months English course before start of the Academic year or present a TOEFL or ILETS certificate or its equivalent.

Entry Requirements

Candidates for Postgraduate Programmes

Correctly & duly filled CIU Application Form (Fees apply).
2 passport size photographs, not more than 6 months old.
Photocopy of a valid photo-Identity Card
Certified copies of proof of a primary degree (at least a second class honours) from a recognized tertiary institution.
2 Letters of Reference (Academic and Professional).

NOTE: Postgraduate Admissions attract an Exam for Graduate Admission (Fees apply), and further details are provided to successful applicants.

Candidates for Undergraduate Programmes

Correctly & duly filled IHSU Application Form (Fees apply).
Certified copies of Ordinary and Advanced Level (UCE, UACE) or their equivalent from a recognized institution.
2 passport size photographs, not more than 6 months old.
Photocopy of a valid photo-Identity Card
1 Reference Letter (Academic or Professional)
