Programs Offered
- Diploma in Nursing (Direct entry)
- Diploma Nursing or Midwifery (Extension)
- Certificate in Nursing or Midwifery.
- Certificate in Family planning. Offered to all our students who are interested in the course.
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for the direct entry into the Diploma in Nursing Programme, a candidate must satisfy the following admission criteria:-
O-level Results:- Credits in the following subjects; English, Biology, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
A level Results:- A principal pass in Biology and two subsidiaries in Chemistry, Physics, Food and Nutrition, and Mathematics.
- Extensor Diploma Programmes – Course duration 1.5 years
(May intake)- Diploma in Nursing
- Diploma in Midwifery
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for either of the above courses, one must have enrolled with Uganda Nurses and Midwifery Council and with a working experience of at least 2 years:
Enrolled Nurse or Midwifery – Should be at least in possession of an “O” level certificate -Pass a pre-entry Ministry of Education and Sports Oral and Written Interviews.
Age limit 25 years – 45years
On successful completion of the State Final Uganda Nurses and Midwives Examinations Board (UNMEB), candidates are registered by the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC) and issued a practicing certificate.
- Certificate Programmes – Course duration 2.5 years
